Terms of Use
SmartPoli helps you understand a prescription, remember your medicines, and look after the people you care about. These terms are the rules for using it. By creating an account or using SmartPoli you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. SmartPoli is not a doctor
- SmartPoli is an assistive tool, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat or prescribe, and nothing in it is medical advice.
- Symptom checks give an urgency level and a suggested next step from fixed rules. They never name a condition. They can be wrong.
- Always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions. If a medicine, schedule or symptom worries you, ask them.
- In an emergency call 112 (or your local emergency number) straight away. Do not wait for an app.
2. Check what the app tells you
- When SmartPoli reads a photo, a medicine strip, a typed line or a PDF, or when an AI service helps, the result is a suggestion for you to confirm. Handwriting and packaging are hard to read. Check every name, strength and timing against the original before you rely on it.
- Reminders and alerts are best effort. Phones, networks and battery settings can delay or block notifications. Do not rely on SmartPoli as your only way of remembering a medicine that matters.
- General medicine information and interaction notes come from public drug labels and fixed rules. They may be incomplete or out of date.
3. Your account
- Give true information and keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- You must be 18 or older to hold an account. A parent or guardian may use SmartPoli to manage a child's medicines.
- You can delete your account at any time in Settings. See the Privacy Policy for what that removes.
4. Family and caregivers
- Someone can look after your medicines only if you give them a code or accept their invite. Opening a link shares nothing until you confirm.
- A caregiver can see your medicines, doses taken or missed, notes and emergency card, can add a medicine for you (marked "Added by"), and can send you a reminder. They cannot take doses for you or change your records.
- You can remove a caregiver at any time. A caregiver can stop looking after you at any time.
- If you look after someone, do it with their permission, and use what you see only to help them.
5. Using SmartPoli properly
Do not misuse SmartPoli: no attempts to get into other people's accounts or records, no sending harmful or unlawful content, no overloading or probing the service, and no using it to harass anyone.
6. Availability and changes
We work to keep SmartPoli running, but we do not promise it will always be available or error free. We may change, pause or stop features. If we make a significant change we will tell you in the app.
7. Our responsibility
SmartPoli is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss or harm that comes from relying on the app instead of professional medical care, from a missed or late reminder, from a wrong reading of a photo or document, or from service interruptions. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using SmartPoli after a change, you accept the new terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in India have jurisdiction over any dispute, unless the law of your place of residence says otherwise.
10. Contact
